If UT can pull off the series today, I'll say we still have an outside shot at winning the SEC. Lose today and I think the climb is just too hard with 12 games to play and a few other teams in addition to UK ahead of us.

Biggest game of the season so far? Probably - given the rubber match of two teams ranked in the top 4 and the fact that we need it to have an outside chance of winning the SEC.

K, groundout to start the game. Third batter puts down a perfect bunt for a hit, but the left Zander picks him off on a steal attempt, and we go to the T2, scoreless.

Sechrist gets a 6-3 groundout Gives up a solo homer Perfect bunt out in front of the plate for another bunt single UK gets a swinging bunt for a lucky hit With runners on 1st and 2nd, and one out, a flyout to RC moves one runner to 3B Fly ball to RF ends the inning.
We head to T4, Vols up, 2-1.
The Vols are getting outhit so far, 5-1.

Dreiling, Tears and Amick go down in order in the 4th.
I would assume (hope) we have someone warming up in the pen now. Sechrist may be just fine, but he is also into the 2nd time around through the Wildcat order, and he doesn't exactly have a flamethrower fast ball to help, so even if he doesn't tire he could start getting touched up a bit.

And just like that, it's 2-2 with a leadoff homer, LOL
We left him in for another hitter, who hit it on the nose just past Moore on a sinking line shot that Christian couldn't pick. Now we will bring in Behnke. Zander is just not really an SEC level starter. He's good for one trip through the order, essentially, out of the pen, or a midweek starter. JMO

Behnke hit the first batter he faces, two on and no outs.
Vol pitching has imploded in the 4th, with another hit batter and then Snead comes in and gives up a two run single down the line, and a sac fly. UK is up now, 5-2. With a runner on 3b and 2 outs, Snead gets a lineout to 2B to end the inning, but the Vols now trail 5-2, and unless the bats wake up it feels like this one isn't going our way.

Curley singles up the middle Ensley hits into the 6-4-3, two outs Chapman K's
The Vols trail 5-2, and have only two hits through 5.

We’ve had very few good at-bats today, and this Ky lineup will make you pay for any mistakes, which we’ve made plenty of today.

Snead has given up two 0-2 count singles this inning, and it's now 6-2 UK, still only one out, with runners on 1st and 2nd. This just isn't our day. We are being outhit 11-2 to this point.
