Connell replaces Snead, who immediately gets the double play ground ball to end the inning.
Vols trail 6-2, heading to T6.

Stark HBP Moore hits a double into LF, runners on 2nd and 3rd Burke hits a high, shallow ball to LF that drops in, scoring Stark and becoming a double for Burke. Moore on 3B, nobody out Amick singles in both of them, and takes 2B on an error. It's 6-5 Cats now. Tears walks Dreiling singles Amick home, and we're tied at 6 Curley is up, and now UK will change pitchers. If I'm a Cat fan (thank heavens for small favors), I'm pretty annoyed that they left Moore in as long as they did. Curley walks Peebles PH for Ensley and hits a sac fly to deep RC - 7-6 Vols. Chapman hits into a double play and the inning is over.
But the Vols plate 5 to take a 7-6 lead, heading to B6.

Well, the bats finally woke up. The question now is whether the Vols have the arms in the pen to hold the lead. I will guess that we need three more runs to win this thing.
I do think we'll see Aaron Combs soon.

Connell is staying in - TV has to know to have him on a short leash.
And Kirby walks the leadoff hitter... Connell gets two guys out and then gives up a two run homer, Vols trail 8-7.
You just can't keep him in very long against SEC hitters. It kills me. He gets a lot of ground balls, so when we had one out, there was a good argument to keep him in for the double play. But with two outs I think I would have pulled him. Instead, we give the lead back.

That at bat from Tears was fantastic. Best I’ve seen in a long time (I do not watch a lot of baseball though to be fair)

So we're back to the question posed earlier: does the UT pen have enough left in the tank to hold onto this game. I still think we'll seem Combs.

Moore now has the UT career record at 45 homers, with Burke one behind. I think Moore has either 17 or 18 on the season now.
