back to back home runs. 13-11. really Tony? Yes, really. It's ridiculous, and this is an extreme example, but this is his one big fault IMO. I cannot believe we don't have any other available arms. Even Marcus Phillips at this point would be preferable.

A single up the middle, and they are a swing away from tying this game. I am going to have to hear Vitello after the game.

OK, NOW they bring in Marcus Phillips? If he was available, then there is no excuse IMO for us to have gone this long with Connell.

Kirby has incriminating picture of Vitello. That is my theory.
No, even that's a stretch, because I doubt even Kirby wanted to be out there this inning.

I'm dying to hear Vitello explain this. I'm sure we must have been limited on arms, and Phillips is inexperienced, but how much worse could he have done that Kirby at that point? Connell gave up four bombs. He was essentially throwing home run contest stuff up there.

That is UK's first SEC series loss of the years, and moves UT to 12-6 in the SEC, three games behind the Cats and probably in 3rd or 4th in the SEC depending on what other teams did today. But honestly, I haven't checked the standings this weekend so maybe we're as high as 2nd. But I doubt it.
We will likely jump UK in the national polls though. UT will be either 2nd or 3rd in the country this week. We we already 2nd in one poll and 3rd in three polls. Only one poll had us at #4.
