We need two guys who can shoot and hopefully a big man that can bang. The kid at Hoover High in Birmingham (Dewayne something?) is 6'9, 250+ I think. So he'll have a height disadvantage in some matchups, but I hope his size means he's a physical guy who will be able to battle against other physical centers. Estrella got in there today and fought, overmatched as he was. We need to have at least three guys who are truly very good shooters. This year's offense was essentially the same we've seen, except with Knecht. The thought of going back to looking like we have generally looked on offense for most of the last several years is a bit depressing to think about. But... when this season started, I think most of us assumed we were going to have Normal Santi to match with what we were being told was a special player in Knecht. And if that is how it had worked out, I think we would have a couple fewer losses and would still be in the NCAAT. So of course we got, completely out of the blue, "Where Did I Park My Car? Santi". What a bitter joke the baskteball sub-deities played on us.

We need two guys who can shoot and hopefully a big man that can bang. I want the two guys who can shoot to also be able to get downhill and finish at the rim. I’m hoping that our freshmen big men and Awaka take a big step forward as bangers. Remember the stickum’ cornerbacks used back in the day? Maybe get a transfer post who has those kinds of hands. 😎

Chaz Lanier from North Florida might be a name to watch according to TOS.
Not sure what was going on his 1st 3 years at North Florida, but he didn't get much playing time and averaged less than 5 points per game. Then he all of a sudden exploded this past season for 20ppg on 44% 3 point shooting and 60% inside the arc. Doesn't seem to draw many fouls.

You just prompted me to pull up the Yves Pons u17 world championship highlight video Shooting those percentages on high volume in college is a lot different than a high school highlight tape against Croatian kids.

I just want more production in that area than we had with our wings this year. Maybe Dilione and Carr can up our rim production.
