Both got a start because of injuries but both have been in the rotation for Nets and Bulls respectively. Jaden Springer is buried on Celtics bench and I have lost track of Kennedy Chandler . Grant Williams out for the year with injuries . Josh Richardson is on bench with Heat as his career begins to wind down. I know we have several guys playing around the world at various levels of competition . Kevin Punter probably has best contact making over 2MIL in Serbia. Does anyone know if triple J is playing pro ball anywhere?

Kennedy has been close to a complete flameout. Should have come back.

Kennedy has been close to a complete flameout. Should have come back. Man, how good would that 2023 team have been with him at the point?

Kennedy has been close to a complete flameout. Should have come back. I guess so, but he signed a pretty generous contract as I recall. Would coming back have helped him much? Maybe NBA GM’s would have concluded that they had already seen his upside. That may be totally wrong, but it’s hard for anyone looking at a multi-million dollar deal to pass on it, with no guarantee that they will have as strong of an offer in a year or two. And he can still play overseas for several years and make good money. You may be right, but it’s a lot easier to be certain when you have nothing at risk.

Kennedy is having an excellent season for the Raptors G league team... averaging 19.6 pts, 3.8 rebounds and 7.6 assists. He will never have an NBA physique. He is on the last year of his guaranteed rookie contract of which the Grizzlies are largely responsible. He is earning $2,019,699 for the 2024-25 season.
Jaden Springer is approaching bust territory. He has had opportunities in Philly and Boston but has not accomplished anything of note. He may be able to get a second contract as a journeyman player, but I would question the value that he brings to the table. As opposed to Kennedy Chandler, I think Jaden would have greatly benefited from developing his game under Barnes for two or three years. Kennedy was never going to get bigger/stronger... he had reached the zenith of his game. That said, Jaden has done very well financially by going out after one year. He signed a rookie contract worth $10,393,483 over four years. He is in the last year of that contract, and will earn $4,018,363 in the 2024-25 season.

It would be nice to be a “bust” (and he has been) while getting a $10M (less taxes) start to your post-college life.

hope those guys take Charles Barkley/Dr. J's advice on money..... Barkley could have used that advice himself early in his career, which gives him more credibility in a way when he’s giving that advice.

in this one he mentions Grant Hill's mom telling him not to support 8 or 10 family and friends after he asked them why they were still going to work after Grant signed his big deal.

I don’t know how I forgot Tobias . He has had a good career but is hated by Philly fans because of the big salary he got . It seems to me the NBA general managers as a whole are bad at the draft and routinely over pay. Of course the player needs to max out while they can . You sure aren’t rewarded for loyalty .
