Looky there! After that IN scrimmage, word around here was we had issues. Haha .. I like this issue I think the biggest concern after the IU scrimmage was whether Lanier was going to be what we hoped. To date, he has exceeded my expectations. |

My biggest concern after the IU scrimmage was whether Smyrna would make it through the entire season without blowing a blood vessel in his brain after we went on our twenty-third five minute scoring drought before we got halfway into January.

By my count, there could be a chance to have 15ish Q1 games give or take depending on how SEC standings shake out. Vols are 2-0 currently. How many Q1 victories gets them on seed lines 1-3?

Sorry sorry I know I’m not supposed to talk tournament. Assuming we take care of business by and large in the Q2 and lower games, I’d guess 9-6 in Q1 gets us to a three seed or maybe a two. (also depending on what the other potential higher seeds do). |

Sorry sorry I know I’m not supposed to talk tournament. well last year it looked like this: 1 seed quad 1 wins U Conn 17-3 Houston 17-5 Purdue 15-5 UNC 10-4 2 seed Vols 10-8 Zona 9-4 Marquette 10-8 Iowa State 11-7 3 seed Ill 9-7 TWWNBN 6-7 Baylor 10-10 Creighton 8-6 One of those had more than one quad 3 loss - TWWNBN Arizona, UNC and Creighton all had 4 quad 2 losses. |

Looks like we need more than 10 to compete for a 1. Cause we are Tennessee.
Illinois is the only Q1 opportunity this month. Then a good bit during SEC play.
