Sort of impressed that Memphis didn't fold in that OT, especially after they got down early.

I was so hoping that 3 pointer after the intentional missed FT would go in. That would have been epic.

They were up 10 with under 3 minutes and just kept giving up threes. Honestly, if Hurley doesn't get called for that tech on the bad foul call they are probably going to a second OT. Obviously, U Conn not as dominant as the past couple years but that was still a good win for Memphis. Surprised Penny didn't find a way to blow it.

Hurley irritates me. Such a whiner. And the announcers think it is great. He wins, Penny doesn't, so I was cheering just a tiny, tiny bit for Memphis. They will fold when they get into their <tough> conference games.

May have spoken too soon. U Conn cuts it to 4 with two huge threes. Yep, 10 point lead with 3 minutes to play was doable, especially with Penny on the sideline with that lead.

Memphis gets a 10 second call up three with 24 seconds left and then gives up their fourth 3 in the last two minutes to choke away a double digit lead and they go to OT in Maui. I wish it had ended well, but this was enough to tell us why Memphis keeps hiring assistants who have been head coaches before.

Nobody can keep their cool. Biggest hothead will lose. Normally that would be Penny.

At the end of the year, UConn will have a much better team than Memphis.

I will grudgingly give the Tigers credit.

Izzo U. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more consistent winning program over a lot of years anywhere. Barnes is right there though.
