I was so hoping that 3 pointer after the intentional missed FT would go in. That would have been epic.

I was so hoping that 3 pointer after the intentional missed FT would go in. That would have been epic. The collapse in regulation was something else. They were up 10 with under 3 minutes and just kept giving up threes. Honestly, if Hurley doesn't get called for that tech on the bad foul call they are probably going to a second OT. Obviously, U Conn not as dominant as the past couple years but that was still a good win for Memphis. Surprised Penny didn't find a way to blow it. |

Hurley irritates me. Such a whiner. And the announcers think it is great. He wins, Penny doesn't, so I was cheering just a tiny, tiny bit for Memphis. They will fold when they get into their <tough> conference games.

May have spoken too soon. U Conn cuts it to 4 with two huge threes. Yep, 10 point lead with 3 minutes to play was doable, especially with Penny on the sideline with that lead. |

Memphis gets a 10 second call up three with 24 seconds left and then gives up their fourth 3 in the last two minutes to choke away a double digit lead and they go to OT in Maui. I wish it had ended well, but this was enough to tell us why Memphis keeps hiring assistants who have been head coaches before. |
