The hoops guys had two impressive wins, the football team overcame a sluggish first quarter to smoke UTEP with a shutout, and got it over a coach who was a total horses' butt last year at Austin Peay. And then some big things that helped us happened, with Oklahoma spanking Bama and Florida beating Ole Miss. Indiana got stomped by Ohio State too, and if the Committee has any integrity at all that should knock the Hoosiers out of the playoff. They didn't beat (or even play) a ranked team all season until today, and they lost by over three TD's.
I will be as nervous as a three-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs when we go to Vandy next week, but for now this was a great weekend.

We have a decent chance of hosting a playoff game now if we TCOB against Vandy. Indiana got lucky in that several other teams lost. I don’t think they will drop them all the way out, but no way should they get to host now.

I don’t think they’d have a legit complaint if they were left out. But the Committee has more B1G representatives than SEC, and I bet anything they will be sure to include as many from their league as the SEC gets in. Politics…

Indiana is in. I’m with pdlglm. Keep your cups on.
SEC probably gets 3 teams in. I couldn’t care less about SEC loyalty. Just get Tennessee in if they deserve it. Which right now they do.
There will be 4 big ten teams. 3 sec. 2 ACC. 1 Big 12. 1 group of 5. And Notre Dame. If the SEC wants another team in, send some help to Southern California this week.

I agree they likely are, but IMO there should be nothing slam dunk about it. I don’t think anyone cares about SEC loyalty, but I think there will be enough voices on the Committee that care that the former Big 10, in their perpetual little brother syndrome against the SEC, gets as many or more teams than the SEC gets in. Ole Miss and Bama losing, which helps us, likely does knock the league down to three SEC teams, especially with A&M losing. And if the Vols crap the bed next week, the SEC is looking at two teams.

The poll I want to see is the updated playoff ranking.
