Admittedly, I have always only had a fairly limited interest in the Lady Vols since the three Miques left ~ yes, even in the Candace days ~ and especially after Pat died... But it looks like just maaaaaaybe she's getting us back to where we're supposed to be... fast-paced, exciting, high-scoring, and she seems to be having a lot of success recruiting. Time will tell, but I think she may be a great hire. Glad to see it. Plus, she's kinda cute, so there's that...  |

Far be it from me to try to tell people what they ought to like, but even women's basketball skeptics owe the current Lady Vols at least one look. They play hard, they shoot freely, they make a lot of them, and that full-court press defense is ferocious. They still have some things to tighten up--no great surprise with so many new players and none of them likely having played such a system before--but they will get better, and CKC and company have already amassed a recruiting haul the likes of which haven't been seen at UT since Pat's heyday.

I have tried. But I will generally only turn on women's basketball when they are at the final 4. And that's if either my team is in it or there is something truly compelling. Again, I have tried. And I like women's soccer and women's tennis, so it's not simply a gender thing. It's just ..... not very good. To me. But I do hope our new coach does very well.
