This is almost the classic “cheer for the natural disaster” game, but I have to pull for the Cats to lose.

Well, the Cats came back and won, 77-72.

Cooper Flagg is the real deal (26 points and 12 rebounds) but he single handedly lost the game for Duke in the last minute... turned the ball over twice and then failed to box out on a critical rebound. Duke is a very young team that has championship level talent come March. Considering that Kentucky's roster is three freshmen and a bus load of transfers, they looked like a legitimate contender in the SEC. They love the 3 point game, so there will be nights they don't look good but other nights that they will blow out the competition. Team chemistry seemed excellent considering none of their roster had ever played together prior to this season.

Those last two minutes sucked Duke blew it. Typically I would hate to see a team blow a game they should win which allowed Kentucky to win instead. Buuutttt, I hate Duke about as much so not sure how I should feel........

Flagg was comically bad those last two possessions. I watched about 75% of that game and didn't come away from it thinking "oh, no". The basketball was good, not great.

Reminds me of an old joke: What is the definition of mixed feelings? Watching your hated mother-in-law drive over a cliff in your new Mercedes.
