I am a big believer in the “focus game” advantage . This is going to be a huge focus game for them and their fans . There might be one or two a year but I think the home team has much bigger advantage than what the stats or matchups indicate.
Louisville is not going to jump out at our players like the top teams we have been playing the last few years. Our players are too young to remember when Louisville was Louisville .
I would be very surprised to win and not too surprised to see us get thumped . If we have a real competitive game and play well, I would be encouraged .

yeah. It sort of sucks that they have been so awful the past two years (well, it was actually fun, but still) because it makes it hard to get up for this game, but it is a legit top 50 KP game on the road.

The series record isn't lopsided, unless you realize that almost all of our wins against them came before any of us were alive, and before almost any of our parents were alive. For the younger folks on this board (do we have any?) the wins would have come before their grandparents were alive. What I hate is that we have had many years now where we would have beaten them, administering whippings in some cases, but scheduling luck didn't favor us, and now we play them when we are in the early part of a big rebuild season. |

Soooo, that was a fun read knowing the outcome of today's game. :-) LOL I am enjoying my Crow Tartare as well. I didn't like this matchup. But it's so early in the season that it's hard to really put much confidence in most analysis just yet. |
