It definitely felt like the backups played much better than the starters.

View AttachmentThat's concerning, but I'm not sure I can tell from this in a single game if the numbers are due to poor play or if they are more of an anomaly. But so far I am not seeing a lot of reasons to feel super encouraged. |

It’s really frustrating that Awaka and Aidoo are gone. So dumb. It’s early for me to say how much improved Awaka would be this season. Aidoo was more of an offensive threat than what it appears we have in the post, but he was prone to the weak games against better posts. Still, I know Barnes was disappointed to lose him. |

Awaka played 20 minutes in Arizona's opener against canisius. Scored 4pts and pulled down 9 boards with 4 fouls.

Will be interesting to see if he is able to improve over the season although I won't go looking to see myself unless someone posts the numbers here as the season unfolds. |
