I think we are deeper this year, but Barnes has his work cut out finding the right rotations.

Kesling and Bertelkamp are predicting big things from Gardner-Webb in their conference. Maybe they're right, but that's not what the prognosticators think.

Lanier is Bob & Bert's Player of the Game.

I think we are really going to struggle in half court games. also full court games, and three quarter court games. And 21 and horse.

Got outrebounded by 3. We don’t look super athletic and shooting was poor outside of Lanier.
I know it’s one game, but it looks like a pretty limited roster.

Out-rebounded by G-W, good heavens. I wonder if Aidoo and Awaka snicker when they hear that. In the off season, I saw Igor and Dubar’s 3 pt shooting and thought we would come out even or ahead on that trade. I knew Okpara would be a defense only guy. But after seeing them play, Dubar is apparently not a factor at all, and Igor does not look like an SEC caliber athlete or player. Really wish Tobe would have stayed, we should have promised him the playing time.

Vols 1.184 GW 0.947
They won the OR% battle 32.3% to 26.7%.
they just drug Okpara out to the three point line and then had their way on the offensive glass.

We used to do that down at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center in the 80's when UAB was good and the city hosted part of the NCAAT. A buddy was the son of UAB's basketball radio announcer (Gary Sanders) who had been the Auburn football play by play guy years before (including for the famous "punt Bama, punt" game in '72. And he'd take us to a lower level hallway near the locker rooms and we'd just hit the machine a half dozen times and take gatorades and cokes with us.

We'll have to have an answer for that, then. Because getting torched on the glass in the SEC won't be good, but especially on nights when we're not shooting well, which could be often.

Rough night for the SEC.
Both Texas schools lost to unranked teams. Missouri lost to Memphis. SC lost at home to North Florida. UGA barely beat TN tech.
Bama looked great. Unfortunately so did the blue team.
