If he has success, I hope he is wise enough to stay there. He’s got plenty of money, has had ample opportunities at high major programs where things have not generally worked out for him (though those opportunities are why he’s financially set). So enjoy life back home.
So like the super weird thing about Cuonzo is why when he switched jobs his first year he would bring in lottery caliber talent but after that first year his recruiting was nothing close
TN->Cal Jaylen Brown and Ivan Rabb who was actually better than Brown at Cal

I never understood that either. It was like he was surprised they didn’t stay and he had to recruit again. Like Homer Simpson when he thought he didn’t have to pay taxes because he paid them last year.

CCM is a middling coach. He's not terrible, he's not especially good.

When he signed Stokes I thought we had something.
Yeah I didn't understand how he recruited those players after he left UT either. I believe I have heard that Pearl and staff had done a lot of the legwork for Stokes and he was pretty well committed to the Vols already and Cuonzo just had to not screw it up.

Yep, Stokes was mostly on board already. CCM just had to make him a priority. But the Cuonzo track record is fairly well known now. I don’t expect him to be handed the keys to a major conference program again any time soon.
