As per the LA Daily News…. “As part of his second-half scoring flurry, Knecht hit a 28-foot stepback 3-pointer over 7-foot-3 Bol Bol to tie the score at 113-all with 4.8 seconds left in regulation. He scored another 13 points in overtime, sending the veteran players on the Lakers’ bench into a frenzy with each basket, including a layup to give the Lakers a 126-122 lead with 55 seconds left. Knecht scored or assisted on the Lakers’ final 22 points. He shot 10 for 18 from the field, including 8 for 13 from behind the arc, to go with seven rebounds and two blocked shots. The scoring totals for Knecht and Davis are tied for the most by any players this preseason, according to ESPN.”

DK lit it up in an overtime win against the Suns on Thursday night. 35 points, 8 of 13 on 3 pointers, to go with 7 rebounds. The question is not whether he is in the rotation, it’s whether he will be a starter by the All-Star break… I couldn’t care less about the NBA typically, but I’ll watch DK just like I used to watch Bernard King, Dale Ellis and Allan Houston. The last time I actually followed NBA basketball otherwise was during Jordan’s run. But my best memories are of the Lakers/Celtics in the 80’s. |

He finally had one. A psycho heater. When he’s in that zone, it’s the most fun I have watching basketball.

He finally had one. A psycho heater. When he’s in that zone, it’s the most fun I have watching basketball. The good thing about him is that even if the three isn’t falling for him in a game, he still draws defenders out, and he can then put it on the floor and drive. |

My guess is that there are several NBA teams that wish they had a re-do on the 2024 draft.
