Chris Stamos takes the hill tonight, with a 7:30 eastern start on the SEC Network.
Obviously it’s important to get off to a good start in the series. These guys swept us to start SEC play last year at their place. The bats need to be working and hopefully Stamos holds up well.

A two out, three run homer by Cal Stark in B2 puts the Vols up, 4-0.
C Mo comes up after that and scorches a line drive, but it's right at the 2B.
After two complete, it's 4-0 UT.

With two outs and a runner on 2B, Vitello decides to lift Stamos for AJ Causey.
Causey walks the first batter he faces on 5 pitches. Two on, two outs. Causey K's the next hitter to finish the top half of the inning.

B4, and Ensley just hit a solo bomb.
Honestly, I haven't looked it up, but it seems like we score half or more of our runs via the HR.
UT is: 1st nationally in HR and slugging %; 2nd in runs/game; 4th in batting average

Chapman is HBP Stark K's Moore (who is squaring up the ball perfectly tonight) hits a two out single into CF that moves Ensley from 1B to 3B Burke, with two outs, bloop lines out to 2B.
But the Vols are up after four innings are in the books, 6-0.

B5:
Amick hits a bloop single into shallow CF Tears walks Dreiling K's looking Curley K's Ensley lines out to 3B
A good start to the inning turns into nothing for the Vols. After five, it's 6-0 Vols.

B6:
Chapman Stark bunts him over to 2B Moore walks Burke K's on a horrible third strike swing Amick crushes a three run homer DEEP into the night in LF, making it 9-0 Vols. Tears singles Dreiling walks Curley walks Ensley grounds into the 6-4 FC to end the inning. I was hoping for UT's 11th grand slam.
Anyway, the Vols add three more and lead, 9-0.

Causey gets the first two outs in the T7, then gives up a solo homer. It's 9-1 Vols.
A 5-3 groundout with a nice scoop by Burke on the throw by Amick ends the T7.
If the Vols can score two runs in the bottom half, the run rule will be in effect.

In the B7, Burke K's. He's now 0-5 tonight, and it's almost certain that his hitting streak (31) is over.
