Apparently Freddie was making $40k a month last year. That was more than Knecht, who ended up making the most on the team due to huge deals halfway through the year. DK made a ton of money here.
Aidoo was asking us for more than DK made last year (lmao). We told him you’re not going to get anywhere near that here and Barnes did not even consider doing that.
Tobe wants around $25k per month and probably will get it.
This is all from the discord and I’ve seen Basilio say the same things without the numbers included.

Damn, those are some serious numbers. $300k a year for Awaka?
I wonder how much ZZ is making.

$480k a year to sit the bench. not a bad deal. Or do they only get paid during the season?

I can't imagine how rich I would have to be before I would donate the kind of dollars it would take so my favorite CBB team could have a highly ranked freshman sitting the bench making $40k a month.

Tobe deserves coin.
I don’t know what guys are making. But I do know 2-4 million is about the price to fill out a good roster.

Ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous. It would be less ridiculous to me if it were coming from the school or all of this TV money filtering down to them. But all of this money coming into the sport and having to pass the collection plate around to fans/donors to pay them is beyond ridiculous.

Trying to take a family of five to a single football game, 4+ hours away, is like paying for a mini-vacation. And then you are supposed to kick in to pay for college athletes to make more in a few months of playing a game than some hardworking folks make in two years…

Infinitely rich, and I still likely wouldn't donate $ to my favorite team. I'd rather give that money to my family or a worthy charity. At some point, the players will all be contracted employees and then it'll all be above the table. Then at least we'll know where our ticket $ etc is going, just like in the professional ranks. But this current model of rich people donating huge sums and middle/lower income class donating smaller amounts that they likely should spend on other priorities is...kind of gross. I want my teams to be successful, and I'll pay whatever market value is for ticket prices when I can go to games, but that's pretty much it. If and when we're not successful, I'll vent and rant on here like the best of them, but I'm not going to donate whatever small portion of my family's current and future wealth to fund a college athlete in a currently legal but still under the table way.
