I did my part once again tonight. I only watched the first inning live and thought I might be jinxing the Vols. Getting ready to watch the game from the second inning on.

bottom of the 8th. Vols 2-1. Snead hitting 100 in the top of the 8th. heart of the lineup coming up, need some insurance. This is where Snead should be pitching. I don't like seeing us have to throw him 4-5 innings in the early/mid part of the game.

Amick off the scoreboard. 3-1 I'd like to return from having an organ removed and then hit two homers in my first two games.

Burke with a 25 game hitting streak is impressive stuff Burke has really answered my big question about him - can he hit well in SEC play. He's leading the team in batting average, at .413 last I checked today.

active D1 HR leader pops out to second. Vols take game 2, go for the sweep tomorrow. Tommy White is a great hitter. I still think Charlie Condon at Georgia is probably the best in the SEC, but White is a big threat. That was a huge way to end the game. All I could think was "fast ball pitcher, fast ball hitter", and think it was a swing away from a tie game.

Nice win, we need the brooms out tomorrow. We will have to score a lot of runs So far in SEC play, our bullpen starts haven't been as much of an issue as the Friday night starts.
