There was a thread on the Checkerboard today asking about any predictions that anyone may have heard on Kennedy Chandler. Someone else had responded about Corey Evans' lone prediction to UT. They called it a "Crystal Ball", so Grant responded that there were no crystal balls for Chandler to UT. Then another poster chimed in that it was Rivals (Futurecast? something like that), so I'm sure the 247 staff probably loved reading that, haha. And then, just so AF could have another jolly, I responded as well: "Yes, this is true but it's just not called a "crystal ball" on the Rivals site. But yes, there is a prediction that Chandler comes to UT. It's just a prediction, and the only one I've seen, since I now check a couple of other sites for basketball talk.
And by the way, thank you Gaffney for trying to get a little bit of basketball discussion going here. Your efforts are noticed and appreciated." You're welcome, AF. At some point I expect I'll see some of my posts deleted, or I'll get a polite pm from someone on the staff, to which I will respond "Thank you for your concerns. They are duly noted, and I want to assure you that, just like the staff, I am trying to 'better serve our members'. Good day, sir. "

It's their business, and I'm sure they felt this was better/more profitable for them to operate this way. I don't tend to agree, but I'm also not drawing my paychecks from 247 so easy for me to yell from the comforts of my home.
But they way they killed it (and all of our thread history), with no warning, no discussion, not even an explanation afterwards? Well, F them is my attitude. Tons of guys likely have the site bookmarked and now it just goes to the end of the internet with no way for them to even see what happened. That's low down in my book, and as a paying customer, not something I was happy about and like you, I let them know privately my feelings about it.

It would be so good if one of us was enough of a hacker to direct that Hoopsville link to this site.

It would be so good if one of us  was enough of a hacker to direct that Hoopsville link to this site. Hoopsville.com is taken, but I put in a price inquiry. Hoopsville.us is available. I can buy that and redirect it here. Or hoopsville.org Got any preferences?

Hoopsville .com is too much. .us is only $0.99 a year. .org is $9.99 a year. I'll foot the bill either way

247 was unprofessional in the way they made the change. I had been a paying member in the past. There was no way I would sign up again with the way they handled the closure.
