absolutely stunned at that first draft selection.
Stetson is going to score a ton of back court points.
Not sure that Darius Thompson should have been draftable as a Vol but whatever, Richardson, Yarbrough, Maze isn't bad.
I can't wait to watch Turner's head explode at Hop mid game for team AJ.
Do you get the good Antonio Barton or the bad Antonnio Barton. That makes all the difference for team Will.
My heavens, Ric is a team that could absolutely run you out of the gym one night and then not be able to buy a bucket the next.

absolutely stunned at that first draft selection. What about Pick 3 - Kevin Punter. Loved the kind and turned out to be a quality player, but No. 3 in the 2000-2020 era?

Team Hayden has least amount of superstars, but maybe the best group top to bottom. Tobias Harris is sneaky good as their #1 option. Pons, Bradshaw, and Steve Pearl (just for getting in fights and using up fouls to give) is a solid 4-6. As you said, Stetson will score buckets, but not sure even CLo can carry that team. Also depends on who the coach is, I guess. CJ Watson and Dane Bradshaw suck if Buzz Peterson is coaching. If it's Pearl, those guys are fire. I like team Jake. Slay and Maymon down low, Santi and Trae Golden outside, Mostella, Gaines, and Walker for depth....lots of highlight reel footage from that group. Might not win it all, but probably would be my favorite group to watch. Team Austin, meh. Team Logan with a post would be a championship contender. Since they don't have one, I'll pick Team Tanner (unless Ramar Smith holds his teammates up at gunpoint)...they have Kyle Alexander, the X factor.

Worst pick of that draft, I think KP at #3. Best pick? Hmmm....Quinton Chievous at #70 sounds about right. Don't think that'd qualify as a best pick though.
I think Tobias at #6 is pretty low. Tyler Smith at #7 is way too high, but they also got JJJames at #34 which is going to end up being a steal as things play out, I'd say.

Yeah, Punter is waaay too high. On Tobias, do we get freshman year Tobias or what he has become?

As a fun aside, since I'm in a "crap on 247 mood" lately, let's do a thought experiment and wonder how much discussion this would've generated on the checkerboard over there. 90% of them wouldn't even know who Yemi Mac is or that Major Wingate is best identified as an octopus with a headband on.

my favorite was always when some guy would come over and ask if we thought Admiral could play tight end. No, that's not true. My favorite was when people would respond to basketball threads just to complain that people shouldn't talk about basketball until after national signing day was over.

2002 Haislip stayed on the board for a while. That guy was a high flying problem.

Nothing would make me happier than to see Wideman do well in football but prove to be elite in basketball and then devote his time primarily to the hardwood. The meltdown would be glorious.
