Man, I think I could watch 24 hours of straight C-Lo highlights. Years ago I was flipping through all these random channels when I was in Europe...I can’t even remember where I was, but all of a sudden I see some random Turkish basketball game on, and there is C-Lo just going off. I watched almost the entire second half.
ESPN should do a 30 for 30 story on him...particularly with his quiet sickness he was fighting towards the end of his college career, and some of his clutch games that continued abroad once he left college, it would be so easy to fill up the time.

Maybe someone would argue that it's a different day and the game has changed or something, but I have said since Lofton's senior year that if there was a spot in the NBA for shooters like Jim Paxson or Steve Kerr, then Lofton could easily find a good spot as an outside option on a team with a star like LeBron, etc. But since the game is so much more perimeter-oriented today, maybe the thinking is that Lofton isn't skilled enough to create his own shots. That was the knock on him coming out of college, but I always thought he looked skilled enough, and he can move without the ball and get himself into position for a shot IMO. If he showed us anything in college, it is that he could shoot with a defender on him. |
