On that note, it seems they’re using the dreaded spalding ball at our game tonight. We will probably shoot in the low single digits. We can only hope Miami matches My failing memory thinks that Spalding ball is slick or something like that? Does anyone remember clearly what the issue was? Has a hex on it, if I recall correctly. |

I’m personally not crazy about this game. First game with #1 target on our back. Playing on neutral court in New York where Zakai will probably try to force the action in his own backyard. Playing against a team with a decent offense and I’m sure our team has read some of the analysis about Miami not playing any good D. If we shoot the ball well we win but we are due for one of those games. If our D shows up I gotta believe we take care of business but sure seems like a trap game in a place we have been known to play some bad games. Sure hope not

The last time we played at MSG we shot 31% eFG% and went 6-39 from three. We lost in OT despite taking 10 more shots than Tx Tech.
If we take 39 threes in this one, I am going to be pretty angry as we should be able to get to the rim on this team.

And that is also the one where JJJ blew a tire going in for a dunk and looked for all the world like he got 10 feet from the basket and then decided he didn't know what kind of shot he wanted to put up. |
