I would take Mallory in a heartbeat. I don't care if he is no bigger than ZZ if he can play, which nearly everybody who has seen him thinks he can. Let me just throw this question out to the board: Would you have taken Mugsy Bogues on your team? For anybody who might not remember, Bogues was 5'2", yet he managed to play 10+ years in the NBA. Opponents just hated to try to dribble the ball up the floor against him. His hands were naturally right at the level where most guys dribble. He could stay in front of anybody, and it was said that running into him was like running into a tree stump. Now, not everybody who is small can be a player like Mugsy, ZZ, or Mallory, but anybody who wouldn't take a player like that merely because they didn't have elite size is just ignorant of the forms in which true talent can be packaged.

Agree with this. The mildest correction is that Bogues was listed as 5’3, which completely invalidates your point…LOL, kidding of course. But he was supposedly 5’3. Now, was he REALLY 5’3? I have no idea.
