I hope we look silly. What is your guess on how this team does? I have no idea, but will be going to the Louisville game along with the Baha Mar tourney. So after that, I'll give an opinion. But a practice report and that ex game tells me little other than we don't suck. already done some work on the Louisville preview, I don't know if how good of a team they will gave but that roster is pretty good. You are getting a good game to go to. |

I will admit that that exhibition has me like.... It helps keep unreasonable expectations in check, except for Hammy who has us at 0-31. |

I guess I would have felt better if the Vols had blown out Indiana, but I'm not sure if that would have been any more reliable a guide to how the rest of the season will go than the subpar performance they actually put out. Everybody now knows the team has lots to improve on; Barnes should have their full attention at practice, not that he wouldn't have had it anyway. Turns out it just may be harder to replace four starters and a rotation piece than some of us seemed to have thought. Barnes has proven himself to be a good coach, but he isn't a miracle worker.

I think most assumed replacing the amount of experience we lost would require an adjustment period (and doing so by bringing in four transfers with no familiarity with the team rather than having more young guys out of the high school ranks may take more time to build the chemistry). That said, I think there’s a good chance we have upgraded overall from the guys gone. |
