I know it’s early and other than Okpara all the new guys plus most of the returnees look like deer in the headlights but I really believe Mashack could be the difference maker on this team. He just has to take the role and run with it. He absolutely has to take those open 3’s he won’t shoot any worst than what we saw today. Some mentioned that ZZ was the only guy on the floor to make something happen, I believe that’s because Mashack simply didn’t step up because he can do it. He’s got to be on the floor anyway for D he just has to step up on the offensive end and no doubt some of that is confidence to become one of the leaders on this team. Someone besides ZZ has to become “the guy”

We need Estrella healthy. ASAP Do you expect he will be 100% healthy for much of this season? I worry his injury is one of those chronic type things that has to just be managed.

We need Estrella healthy. ASAP a Not sure how much that changes. With all the time he’s missed I doubt he’s improved all that much from last year. We need scorers and don’t look to have added any. If we don't get serious scoring contributions from 2 of our 4 transfers, then the lull in our high school recruiting (which we will hopefully fix with this upcoming class) will hurt pretty badly.

ZZ misses bad three. That should do it. But he was the only guy on the floor that can make anything happen. What a sad indictment if this is the case.

The only thing that game inspired confidence in is smyrna game thread posts. Hammy will be entertained by the game threads if not the product on the court.

none of the new guys looked like they belong.
This was just the opposite of the MSU exhibition last yr. It was like watching hope being doused with water.

Anyone else read the article about not expecting to lose much offensively this season? Had a hard time believing that with Knecht leaving.

After watching that, I miss Santi's 2024 3 point shooting prowess.
