The quarterfinals are underway for us in the SEC tournament. It's pretty wild that we're playing Florida in the quarterfinals. That would typically mean you've had a rough year if you're playing them that early. But this isn't your slightly older brother's Gator tennis team.
First complaint for me... look, I eventually found the link to get live scoring. But it literally took me over 5 minutes of searching to find it. This goes into a broader complaint I have about tennis in this country. The tennis powers that be in this country, in my opinion, don't want to grow the sport. They want it to remain an exclusive club for rich people. I don't feel like they do anything to market their talent to the mainstream.
Anyway... on to the live scoring...
Doubles are going now.
Court 1: Monday/Diaz are up 4-0 Court 2: Pieczonka/Mitsui tied 2-2 Court 3: Newton/Apltauer up 2-1

We've had some that get inside the top ten for a minute, but the Connors, McEnroe, Agassi, Sampras days are fading well into the rearview mirror.

And that's it. Pretty stress-free doubles there. Court 2 was tight, but we didn't need it.

Yeah, I just don't think they promote the sport enough to get younger kids interested. The American men's side is better now than it's been since Roddick retired, but unless you follow it closely you probably don't know the names Ben Shelton (darn him!), Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz, or Tommy Paul. They should be promoting the crap out of Shelton and Tiafoe in particular, as those guys would attract a wide audience.

Still very early in singles, but so far we're either winning or on serve in all 6 matches.

I'm watching the Monday match. He's so freaking good. The other guy looks like he's playing his heart out and Monday is just toying with him.

Li is sputtering now. I think at one point he was up 4-1. Now it's about to be 4-4
