The Wildcats are 11-0, UT is 10-1. If the Vols win, we'd be conference co-champs I think, and we'd be the top seed in the SECT.
Kentucky is 20-2 overall. Tennessee is 21-4. The match is at 1:00 eastern tomorrow.

Just lost the doubles point. It was close though we didn’t actually win any of the 3 doubles matches I don’t think. We were serving for it on court 1 but I never heard that we won it. Lost in a tiebreak on court 3.
So now we have to win 4 singles matches against a team that hadn’t dropped an SEC match all season.

Mitsui lost 1st set but Diaz won his. All others pretty close.

We split 1st sets 3-3. So we need to hold onto the 3 we won and win a 3rd set somewhere.

Monday and Diaz looking very good on courts 1 and 6.
Mitsui looking good in the 2nd set after getting blown out in the 1st.

Monday won his match but all of a sudden Diaz is in a tight 2nd set.
We are losing 2nd sets on courts 3-5, so Ky will probably get 2 more points from those courts soon. Pieczonka will need to win 3rd set.

Diaz closed his match out so we are up 2-1.
Li on court 3 has come back to take a 5-4 lead in the 2nd.

Li is down big in the 3rd, so that’s not looking good. If that holds, Mitsui will have to close his out, and Pieczonka will have to win his 3rd set.

That's how it often is, and it's the difference between bringing another regular season trophy home or finishing 2nd. Still, the Vols have had a pretty good season so far. I just don't think we have the horses to go very deep in the NCAAT. |
